Product Care

Extend the Lifetime of Your Product with These Simple Care Instructions. Treat your leather goods with the care they deserve.

Regular maintenance

Start by removing dirt or dust from the leather using a cloth. Next, apply a high-quality leather cream and buff it with a clean, soft cloth. Avoid using alcohol, turpentine, or mineral spirits for cleaning. Keep your products away from direct sunlight and low humidity, as sunlight can fade and dry leather.

What to do if your product gets wet

Leather products demand special care to guard against water damage. While leather can tolerate a few drops of water, excessive wetness can lead to deterioration. If your item gets wet, promptly dry it with a soft cloth and let it air-dry outdoors, avoiding direct sunlight or heat sources. Once completely dry, consider applying a leather conditioner for cleaning, softening, and restoring its natural shine.

Vegetable tanned leather vs chrome tanned leather

Both vegetable tanning and chrome tanning offer unique advantages. Vegetable-tanned leather exudes a beautiful feel, but it's more susceptible to water absorption and staining. On the other hand, chrome-tanned leather is less sensitive to water and stains, thanks to protective coatings. This makes it ideal for products exposed to heat or humidity. Vegetable-tanned leather, being thicker, withstands rugged or daily use. With proper care, it can last for decades.
